Our Kitchen
What does it depict? The hotel's heart, or its stomach? You decide!
We emphasize the organic quality – i.e., the inherent vitality – contained in our raw products because we regard them as an integral component and unique property of our Pusteria Valley. Our berries, fruits, salads, and vegetables are fresh and crispy, because they come from the immediate vicinity – namely from our hotel's own "organic acreage." Our cow's milk comes from our neighbor's farm, and fresh butter is delivered directly from the surrounding high-altitude meadows. A farmer's wife supplies us with fresh dairy products and hen's eggs from her animal-friendly farm.
In preparing the food we serve at our hotel, we apply all of the knowledge and practical skills we have acquired in the field of enhancing and maintaining vitality. "Wholesome" and "gluten-free" are important to us, and everything we have learned as health-specialists and passionate cooks is added to our understanding of good nutrition. "Vital love" is not just the name of our hotel cookbook – rather, it's something we hope that you'll experience at every meal, in every dish, and with every mouthful of food you enjoy at our hotel: The love of life in Pusteria Valley, at Tauber's – or, to be more precise: at VITauber.
Our wine card contains a short and select list of excellent wines which all meet our most-stringent criterion: Every wine must come from "certified ecological" cultivation.
